In The Beginning Was Water/ Na Początku Była Woda is the result of several years of work inspired by folklore and Irish mythology. It’s a tale about places and people and their stories that we have recorded while living on the emerald island. Through the six years’ time we spent in Cavan County, located on the border between Ireland and Northern Ireland, we watched, listened, and made video notes, which were used to build an unreal world of animated movie. In the same time we made documentary, to save a bits of the real world, that our characters wanted to show us. During the works, the project expanded with new media, video installations and digital graphics.  Project was supported by created thanks to the City of Szczecin Arts Bursary 2020, Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Scholarship “Young Poland” (2018) and Cavan County Development Award (2017).
